We are still waiting on official word from  Myrtle Beach Police Cpl. Tom Vest, however, our news team passed what was clearly another downtown shooting today on Bob Grissom Parkway near the mall.

Grissom was blocked by Myrtle Beach Police.

This is the second downtown incident this Monday, October 12th.

Earlier today, a shooting happened 4:30 a.m. at Beach Barbers and Allen’s Food Basket on Canal Street, according to Myrtle Beach Police Cpl. Tom Vest.

Two people have died so far as a result of that shooting.

According to Vest, the suspect in the case remains at large.

Those injured were taken to Grand Strand Hospital and treated for their wounds. One died at Grand Strand Hospital.

Sources say as many as 5 people were involved in the early morning incident.

October has turned out to be a violent month for downtown Myrtle Beach.
