Myrtle Beach Company buys Monterey Bay Suites

MB National, LLC, whose registered agent is retired local Myrtle Beach attorney, Clay Brittain, III, has purchased a majority interest in Monterey Bay Suites located on 6804 N Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach. The acquisition was complemented by the company’s recent purchase of the Oceanfront Marriott Springhill Suites/Courtyard dual brand for $79 Million.

HISTORY

Myrtle Beach National golf club was founded by a group of local investors in 1971. The group sold the Myrtle Beach National golf courses to Yiqian Funding in and around multiple acquisitions by the Chinese firm on April 23, 2015. The term Yiqian Funding literally translates in English to “Easy Richness”.

STOCK SWAP INTO THE HOTEL BUSINESS

Prior to the golf course purchase, shareholders in Myrtle Beach National and the Breakers Hotel related management merged.

BRITTAIN RESORT HOTELS SOLD

Brittain Resorts then sold 75% of its stock to EOS Investors LLC (“EOS”), a privately held real estate investment firm. As MyrtleBeachSC News previously reported, Brittain Resorts manages The Caribbean, The Breakers, COMPASS COVE RESORT, NORTH BEACH RENTALS, ATLANTICA RESORT, BAREFOOT RESORT, BAY VIEW ON THE BOARDWALK, COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT, GRANDE CAYMAN RESORT, LITCHFIELD BEACH, MERIDIAN PLAZA, MYRTLE BEACH RESORT, MYRTLEWOOD VILLAS, OCEAN REEF RESORT, PARADISE RESORT, RIVER OAKS, SPRINGHILL SUITES BY MARRIOTT, THE OCEANFRONT LITCHFIELD INN, and THE STRAND MYRTLE BEACH.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

Built in 1995, Monterey Bay is an oceanfront Myrtle Beach resort, offering suites with full and partial ocean views. This Myrtle Beach hotel has 16 floors and a total of 194 guest rooms. The hotel features a rooftop pool and hot tub with views facing Myrtle Beach. 

Monterey Bay Suites will be managed by Michael Wang‘s EOS, LLC owned Brittain Resorts & Hotels as the onsite management company. The EOS Hospitality portfolio comprises more than 40 hotels and resorts across the U.S. EOS (Brittain Resorts & Hotels) will be responsible for revenue management, strategic operations, homeowner services, food and beverage, human resources, information technology, sales and marketing services.
